Using weekly envelopes or putting money in the plate
have been the traditional ways of giving to the church. They
should still bring in around 18% of our target.
Bank standing orders are now the preferred method of
giving for a lot of people - and almost half of our budget (47%) is
funded this way.
We get some money from fees and legacies, plus a
generous grant towards youth work from the Carter's Educational
Foundation. It adds up to 15% of our total.
Our Gift Aid claim to the Inland revenue for 2005 is
hoped to be around £10,000 - a very valuable 'free' contribution to
our target (13% in fact).
However, we are expecting to be around £5,500 short
of our target this year. If our giving doesn't increase then
we will need to empty our bank account to make it up.
