How To Give
|
 |
|
! |
|
|
 |
Step One
|
How much can you give?
|
|
Please give what you can after considering
this question prayerfully. You might find David Rowe's message
on 'The Grace of Giving' helpful.
But do remember to review your giving at least once a year, or if
your income changes. Church costs rise over time due to
inflation and other factors, so we need your gifts to increase too
if your circumstances allow this.
|
 |
Step Two
|
How you can actually give
|
|
A Standing Order.
The most effective way to give is a monthly standing order directly
from your bank account to the church's account. This regular
income allows the church finance group to set a realistic budget and
to plan how we are going to use ours resources as good stewards
should.
We have a form pre-printed with the church bank account details and
you can get this from church or the church office. Just pick
one up, fill in your account details and how much you'd like to
give, then send it to your bank. That's it.
Giving Envelopes. If
you prefer, or if your income is irregular, you can give using a
weekly giving envelope. You can get packs of these from
church.
'In the Plate'.
Finally, you can still put some money in the collection during a
service or when you leave church.

 |
Step Three
|
How you can Gift Aid
|
|
If you are a UK tax-payer (and you pay
more in tax than you give to the church) then the church can claim
Gift Aid on your gift.
So for every pound you give, we get an extra twenty eight pence
from the Inland Revenue. This makes a very valuable extra
contribution to our income.
All you have to do is complete a Gift Aid form for the church
ONCE. Our Giving Secretary, Helen Lander, does the rest.
Helen makes the claim on behalf of the church each year and keeps
all gift information confidential to her.
Once again, you can get a Gift Aid form in church or from the
church office. Please return the completed form to Helen (her
address is on the back of the form). |

However much you give and however you give, thank you for
supporting the work and mission of Wilford Church.
