Matters arising from Mays PCC meeting.

Phil informed the group that the updated version of the safeguarding policy is now available on church desk and  the hall hire policy is tied to it.

Church services for the interregnum have been planned up to September. As it stands 8am services will still go ahead but, may not always be a communion service. The 10.30 service will be as usual.

Young Life

Melissa Baker will be running 'play in the hall' during the summer school holidays, this may also be something to adopt for Sunday services (all age service 10.30 once a month) Keep a look out for dates for play in the hall. These sessions will be funded by the church.

One Life Events

It is hoped that by the 14th September we are able to open the newly refurbished Carter hall (back hall). We hope to have one of the 'Northern Bishops' in attendance to bless and commission the hall. There will be Tea and cake, then in the evening a quiz. Watch this space for more information. Our mental health team will be running a course during September and October entitled 'Lifting the Lid' this is on mental health in a biblical context and will be open the church and the wider community.

Administration for church during Interregnum

Discussions took place with regard to admin, it appears we have a number of people in church who are happy to take various roles eg baptisms, marriages, funerals, facebook, web content and diocese returns.

There is now a further group you can sign up to on church desk, the hospitality group this is to help at/before/after events with setting up, taking down, cooking and shopping to name just a few. (this is for special events)

Coming events

2/7/19 YEEPIE coffee morning. 7/7/19 Bring and share lunch after the 10.30 service Phil's last service. 14/7/19 Carter hall opening with tea & cake and Quiz night.

The meeting ended with prayers for Phil, Mandy and family as they move on to new pastures.
