August- a month of rest, relaxation and refreshment!

Firstly, on behalf of the leadership team we would like to thank you for your constant support, from prayers, to words of encouragement, to smiles over zoom….. all these things have made this journey a lot easier.

With that in mind, the leadership team have decided in conjunction with the clergy with the encouragement of the Diocese, to have the month of August off, so that we can take the opportunity to reconnect with God, and the much needed refilling of our tanks, ready to lead into a new season.

So how will this look in August?

On Sundays there will be pre-recorded reflection going out at 10.30, however there will be no background support, so no responding to messages. In addition there will be no “Elevenses” after the service. The normal welcoming team won't be there responding to messages, but you can still say hello to each other and use it as a chance to connect.

Also on each Sunday in August, there will be a practical Children’s activity related to the stories of Jesus!  Get ready !

So in this time……..what can we do as Church??

Rest and be, and listen to the word of God.

Laugh, have fun and engage with the space.

Perhaps regularly engage with the Mark 4 v35-5-v4- Jesus calms the storm? What stands out to you in this passage? What is God saying to you in this passage? What is God saying to the Church?

Notice where you can receive and provide moments of hospitality within the government guidelines!

Together at 12 midday pray the Lord’s Prayer.

When August is over, we are warmly inviting you to come back and connect together as Church by joining with us in the Paddock on Sunday September 6th, as we come to worship, on picnic blankets and chairs, bringing along snacks by sharing life with one another and Jesus Christ.

So take care, our prayers, love and support are with you,

Wendy and Eddie
