The foodbank does a great job of providing food to those in need. As we hear on the news that energy prices are due to rise this winter, more people than ever will be worried about how they are going to heat their homes and feed themselves and their families. This harvest season we are once again supporting the foodbank in their wonderful work by collecting donations of food and hygiene products.

If you are able to support us please bring your donations to church on Sunday, or one of the drop off points:

4 Newholm drive
18 The Hollows

55 St Austell Drive
76 Ruddington Lane
29 Hannah Crescent
146 Main Road

Compton Acres
11 Cranberry Close

Or drop off points will be running from Wednesday the 29th of September until Saturday the 2nd of October.

The foodbank is particularly in need of donations of

  • Tinned meat
  • Juice or squash
  • Feminine hygiene products – both medium and large size pads would be particularly helpful
  • Jam
  • Tinned pasta
  • Toilet rolls

They would also particularly welcome the items shown below to avoid shortages in the short- to medium-term -

  • Sugar (ideally 500g bags as they are more suitable for our food parcels)
  • Milk UHT
  • Tinned fruit
  • Tinned potatoes
  • Tinned rice pudding
  • Shampoo
  • Shower gel – a mixture of ones suitable for men and women, or unisex
  • Cleaning cloths
  • Washing up liquid
  • Laundry detergent – ideally tablets or pods as powder is more difficult to handle and distribute fairly

Thanks for your continued support.
