Katharine Dryden

Katharine began singing at the age of 14. She studied music at The Violin School in Newark. She later went on to study with the famous mezzo–soprano Constance Shacklock and is currently training with the vocal coaches Lynne Wayman and Philip Robinson. She has performed both in opera and as a solo recital singer. Katharine and her pianist Philip Robinson enjoyed great success with their 2018 recital programme. This year they will perform Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben, a tale of a woman's life and love, and Elgar's vivid song cycle, Sea Pictures. They are looking forward to performing at Buxton Festival Fringe on the 5th July.

Katharine is studying for her singing-teacher diploma. As well as training singers, Katharine would like to further develop her skills in helping people with dementia and other cognitive issues through singing.
