Article Title:
Getting Married?
Article Summary:
Finding out more about weddings at Wilford
Article Content:

Congratulations on your engagement!

We love doing weddings at St Wilfrid's - we have a beautiful church building and grounds, and a church community that welcomes you, and enjoys celebrating with you as you start your life together.

The first step is to contact the church office ( They will take some details, and ask you some simple questions to check that you are able to be married in this church. You will then meet with one of the clergy to discuss details and fill in the 'Banns form'. It's good to check dates with the church before you book a reception venue!

We want to make the day as special as possible for you, but realise that it is only the public marker of your life-long love and committment to each other. So you will be invited to two or three sessions of 'marriage preparation' with the vicar (maybe with other couples) where we can help you to think together about your actual marriage - your life together, your relationship, as well as sorting out all the practical details.
